Z-Wave Alliance to Conduct Product Training

CEDIA 2007 — Thursday, September 6 — Three members of the Z-Wave Alliance — Electronic Solutions, Inc., Intermatic and Wayne-Dalton — will conduct manufacturer product training workshops at CEDIA 2007 to educate attendees about their Z-Wave-enabled products. The sessions will address the basics on Z-Wave along with how to integrate them into wireless home control and automation systems, and how to become a dealer and land more jobs.

“These sessions offer attendees a comprehensive overview on all things Z-Wave — from the various consumer applications to the home installation process,” said Mark Walters, chairman of the
Z-Wave Alliance. “Participants will leave these sessions with the ability to more effectively sell
Z-Wave and integrate Z-Wave-enabled solutions into homes.”

Thursday, September 6th

8:00 am — 9:30 am

Training Title : “How to Automate a Home Using Z-Wave Enabled Products from Leading Manufacturers”

Training Description : This informative workshop sponsored by the Z-Wave Alliance provides an excellent overview of the Alliance organization and Z-Wave. Please join us for a better understanding of the technology, applications, and implementation of Z-Wave enabled products - including customer requirements, purchase, install, set-up, features, and benefits from leading manufacturers of Z-Wave products.

10:00 am — 11:30 am

Training Title : “Intermatic Gives CEDIA Attendees ‘Hands-On’ InTouch Training”

Training Description : Intermatic, Inc. will be hosting a training session for its recently released line of wireless controls products – InTouch™. Attendees will experience the ease of laying out InTouch system components, setting up an InTouch network, and programming InTouch scenes for various applications.

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Training Title : “Wayne-Dalton Home Access and Controls Training Session”

Training Description : Learn how Wayne-Dalton Z-Wave enabled garage door openers can be integrated into a whole house access and control network. At this session, we will discuss the basics on Z-Wave and how to make a network with a variety of lighting, motorized window coverings, PC controls and media controls. From the business side learn how to become a dealer and how Wayne-Dalton’s “big-builder” program can help you land more jobs.

4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Training Title : “How to Obtain, Install and Control Window Coverings, Projection Screens and other Motorized Products in a Z-Wave Installation”

Training Description : This Program establishes simple ways to source and implement all types of motorized products from manufacturers such as the participating Alliance affiliate member Source Northwest, who can take all the mystery out of window treatment product selection, measuring and installation. Learn how to operate any of these products using the new range of Z-Wave enabled motor control modules from Electronic Solutions, Inc. Finally, learn the important aspects of how to integrate these components into Z-Wave controlled environments from the control experts at Lagotek.
